Some arrived in their own, some brought against their will by The Being, in the basement of the Castle. The creature feeds upon the emotions emitted from humans, going to great lengths to stir them to satisfy its needs. Two characters team up unsuccessfully to destroy the force in the Castle. The crevice afforded him barely enough room to expand his lungs with each breath. Ice water dripped slowly onto his head as it trickled down the uneven granite walls. He winced as a jagged piece of stalagmite tore a long strip of skin from his back as he squeezed through the crevice. Quickly, the back of his shirt spread with blood from the laceration. The faint coppery odor of his own blood permeated the small space. Pain radiated throughout his shoulder and back, sharpening his senses, filling him with purpose.
